What We Believe

Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the word of God, without error, totally inspired by His Holy Spirit and with all authority.  2 Timothy 3:16
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  All equal in Glory, Majesty and Power.  Matthew 28:19
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death on the cross as a substitute for sinners, cleansing us from sin by His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father and in His future, personal return in power and glory.  Mark16:19-20
  • We believe we are saved by grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, and not by our works.  Ephesians 2:8-9
  • We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit and that He is comforter, teacher, the revealer of Christ and His work on the cross, the divine agent who produces new life in a believer resulting in being born again not of the flesh, but of and by His Spirit and the He is the distributor of gifts and graces upon the Church.  John 16:5-15
  • We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers who ask for it. We believe every believer can be empowered by the Holy Spirit to exercise the gifts of the Spirit given him for the purpose of the edification to the Body of Christ.  Acts 19:1-7
  • We believe God has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ.  Ephesians 4:11-12
  • We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are the ordinances to be observed by the Church. They are however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation. We regard:
       -   Water baptism by immersion as a visible representation of our death, burial and resurrection with Christ.  Romans 6
       -   The Lord's Supper as a means of fellowship of the Spiritual body of Christ and as partaking in His suffering and His victory over
sin, death and the grave, enabling us to live free and victorious in Him.  Luke 22:19-20
  • We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. John 5:28-29
